The symposium is organised in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Slovenian born didactitian, geographer and cartographer Blasius Kozenn (1821-1871). With his School Atlases, Textbooks and Maps he set the foundations for the modern geography teaching in the Habsburg Monarchy. After 160 years atlases with his name (Kozennatlas) are still being published at Ed. Hölzel Verlag in Vienna and remain the synonym for the quality. Therefore the Society of Slovenian Geography Teachers; Department of Geography at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana; Department of Geography at the Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor; Faculty of Humanities, University of Primorska; Association of Slovenian Geographers; Muncipality of Šentjur, TOD Ponikva and Blaž Kocen Ponikva Primary School are organizing the symposium under title:
»DEMOSTRABILITY AT THE GEOGRAPHY TEACHING IN THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE«
