INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM AT 200TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF BLASIUS KOZENN AND
10TH KOCEN’S SATURDAY
The aim of the international symposium is to provide the participants with an opportunity to exchange their experiences, and reach for ideas and novel approaches to teaching geography or any other school subject when focused on Demonstrability at teaching.
All are invited to present their examples of good practice and discuss their experiences on the topic of Demonstrability at teaching in the past, present and in the future. We welcome presentations about different teaching strategies and innovative approaches, about fieldwork and the use of ICT – all focusing on different ways to encourage both the student’s and the teacher’s creativity. Because majority of the school work is done in the classroom, we will especially appreciate the Case studies of class work in the length of maximum two school hours. Similarly important are case studies of the teacher’s support of the students.
A line-up of invited speakers from Slovenia and abroad will highlight the importance of understanding of Demonstrability at teaching in the past, present and in the future and the incorporation of such topics into the school curricula. The international symposium offers all the participants an opportunity to exchange experiences and to socialize and mingle with others.
The participants with the presentation and the paper will get the Certificate with accordance to the Article 20. č, and other participants with active participation in the minimum length of 16 hours, will get the Certificate with accordance to the Article 19 of the Slovenian Rule book of promotion for Teachers.

Symposium fee is € 35. It is obligatory for the presenters and the participants. If you attend the Symposium just for 1 day, the fee is € 20,00.
Symposium fee includes: symposium material and publication, certificate for the presentation/participation, refreshments and snacks at Friday and lunch on Saturday.
